Some Music we Love...FOLLOW ME

Latest tracks by Follow Me ">

Usually I don't go for synthy dance music, finding it mostly lacks any real passion and is fabricated primarily for the benefit of sweaty, chest-shaven, spray tanned douchebags. But FOLLOW ME is not, in my opinion, really dance music...it's more like "a soundtrack to life in dance music's clothes".

This group clearly labors over every subtle transition and sonic nuance. I would not be surprised if you start to hear their work in films, TV, and even...podcasts!

Chuck will no doubt dig this too, as he's attempted in the past to subject me to some really shitty 80's synth pop from asswipe bands like Culture Club, Men Without Shovels, and Wham!

FOLLOW ME is nothing like Wham! Check them out.

Thought for the Day...The FDA is a Joke

A few years back I had the pleasure to meet Rhonda Kallman, CEO of New Century Brewing, the makers of Moonshot. Kallman is the co-founder of Samuel Adams and has had a 25+ year career in the craft brewing business. I remember my first take when I tried Moonshot. The thing that hit me hardest was that this was a truly well made beer--drinkable, well balanced, and "crafty" without pretension. Moonshot contains 69 milligrams of caffeine, which is about half your average big Starbucks drink. This beer is clearly NOT marketed to young or underage drinkers.

So why is it that our FDA has lumped Moonshot into the same category as Four Loko, Joose, or Core Spike? Four Loko comes in a giant, 23.5oz can, contains 12% alcohol by volume, and has massive doses of caffeine. Also, the graphics on the cans of these drinks look like they might be equally at home on a juice box or Arizona Ice Tea label.

Have we become so stupid that we can't tell the harmless from the harmful? In a recent interview with Beverage World Magazine, Kallman said she was disappointed the FDA chose to ban alcohol/caffeine beverages rather than regulate a safe baseline for such drinks.

How is it that the FDA can approve mood altering prescription drugs for big pharma in the time it takes to watch a sitcom, yet they choose to ban a craft brewed beer that contains a half cup of coffee?

Help stop the madness. CLICK HERE to sign Moonshot's petition for a saner America. My advice to you, loyal listeners, is to stock up on firearms, can food, and diesel fuel, because a government decision like this one is just another sign of the end of days.

We'd love to hear what you think.
